It all began with a silent wish, a quiet guessing game sparked by an admiring glance.
She was a freshman in high school, watching her friend consistently claim the top spot in the class. In her heart, a small voice whispered, Could that be me one day? She quickly dismissed the thought, telling herself it was impossible. Then, another thought followed: But if it's with God, everything is possible... though maybe not for me. Perhaps, maybe, in my very last year of school.
Her academic performance remained lackluster from Year 1 through Year 3. But towards the end of that third year, with graduation looming, she had a sudden awakening. She realized she needed to take control of her own future. She had to decide: would she enter the workforce or pursue university studies? If she chose the latter, she knew she had to start investing real effort now.
So, beginning in Year 4, something shifted. Slowly climbing from 8th place, she finally reached the top—she became 1st in the class. The girl who had always held that position came to her, curious about her secret. It was in that moment that she remembered the quiet conversation she'd had with herself all those years ago—the wish she'd barely dared to believe.
Jesus said in Matt 17:20 ......"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. "
Looking back, she realized that the mountain of her academic struggles was exactly what God had moved for her.
